UMLY School of Dance Education is seeking an experienced dance coach with a background in competitive dance team training. This position focuses on drill-style instruction, emphasizing synchronization, precision, turns, leaps, jumps, and overall team performance quality.

What You'll Do

• Plan, organize, and lead specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to: attendance records, rosters, etc.
• Manage all equipment.
• Maintain a clean and risk-free environment.
• Communicate effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
• Ensure all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promote other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You'll Need

• 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in specialized skill
• Minimum of 4 years teaching specialized skill.
• Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area
• Demonstrate advance knowledge of specialized skill
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
