About the Job

The Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is accepting applications for a Health Occupations and Nurse Assisting Teacher in our Career and Technical Education Program:

• The candidate must have a valid NYS RN license registration and have worked at least two years as an RN, one of those years employed as an RN in a nursing home and the other as an RN for a licensed home care or Hospice.
• The candidate must possess, or be eligible and working towards NYS Certification in Nurse Assisting 7-12.

The Career & Technical Education (CTE) program at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES provides students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers. The Health Related Occupations Program will provide a broad foundation of theory and clinical skills enabling students to pursue entry-level employment or continuing education. Students learn the theoretical base for skills in the classroom. Students then acquire practical skills in the lab before going to clinical agencies. This is a full-time, 10 month position that follows the school calendar.
