This facility is part of a well-respected faith-based health system that provides a wide range of inpatient and specialty services to the greater Spokane region. The facility operates at a Level 2 trauma designation and is supported by a collaborative, experienced medical team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.

Opportunity:
Physician – Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage in a Gastro Hospitalist-type role
• Weekday coverage only, 8a-5p, no nights or weekends required
• Minimum of 14 shifts per month with 8 guaranteed hours per day
• Approximately 5 patient encounters per shift
• GI Fellowship completion is required
• Board certification required; active Washington state license or IMLC required
• DEA registration required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Perform upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder
• Perform diagnostic ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography)
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and esophageal manometry interpretation
• Small bowel biopsy
• Lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp
• Ongoing need starting ASAP; potential opportunity to transition to a permanent position for the right candidate

Compensation:
