Job Summary

*Household Manager Role*

Start Date: ASAP, but flexible for the perfect fit

Hours: 30-35 hours/week,  depending on the candidate’s preference Monday - Friday, hours similar to 8 am - 3 pm; flexibility to start earlier or end later with advanced notice would be great.

Hourly Rate: $30-35/hr DOE

Children: 4-year-old, 18-month-old, and newborn due in December

Pets: One small hypoallergenic dog

Paid Vacation:

• 1 week family choice
• 1 week nanny choice
• 5 sick or personal days
• All Major holidays

Requirements:

• Up-to-date vaccinations required
• Tdap and MMR required
• Annual Flu shot strongly preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

WHO/WHAT:  A lot of childhood magic is secretly logistics. Birthday mornings require shopping. Family vacations require packing. Christmas requires approximately 900 tiny decisions. A favorite school lunch requires somebody to notice the strawberries are gone. These parents want their three children to have plenty of the magic. They're looking for someone who happens to be really, really good at the logistics.

With two working parents, two little girls, a baby arriving this winter, school schedules, appointments, groceries, laundry, travel, birthday parties, and approximately 47 things that somehow need to happen before Tuesday, there's plenty around here to keep moving. They'd rather spend a little less of these years managing the never-ending household list and a little more actually enjoying the family they're working so hard to build. They're looking for the person who can walk into a busy household, see what needs to happen, and make life noticeably easier.

You know that magical feeling when the fridge is stocked, dinner is planned, the laundry is folded, the Amazon return is finally out of the trunk, the kids' closets actually contain clothes that fit them, and someone remembered to schedule the dentist appointment? You create that feeling. You'll grocery shop, keep the pantry and refrigerator stocked, prep breakfasts, lunches, snacks and smoothies, and prepare dinner approximately three days each week. You'll keep an eye on what's running low, toss what's expired, and keep the refrigerator organized. You'll also help reset the house between visits from the family's biweekly cleaning service—loading and unloading the dishwasher, family laundry, changing sheets and towels, wiping down bathrooms, tidying common areas, and handling the light upkeep that keeps everything feeling put together. This isn't a deep-cleaning position; it's about keeping a busy family's home from unraveling in the 13 days between cleaners.

And then there's everything else that makes a family run. You'll maintain the family calendar, communicate schedule changes, help schedule appointments, handle dry cleaning, packages and returns, keep track of household supplies, and restock things before anyone discovers they're out of toilet paper. You might take a car for an oil change, organize the garage, take the pup to vet and grooming appointments, straighten a pantry, or tackle the mysterious toy bin everyone else has stopped making eye contact with. You'll also keep the children's closets organized and seasonally appropriate, sort outgrown items, and help pack and make arrangements when the family travels.

And because family life isn't just about keeping up with the everyday, you'll help make some of the fun stuff happen too. Birthdays. Holidays. Vacations. School projects. Special events. Gifts. You'll help with shopping, wrapping, party planning and prep, and occasional weekend event support and cleanup. There may also be occasional executive-assistant-style projects, particularly during Mom's maternity leave, when an office errand or administrative task may need to be taken off her plate.

THE IDEAL HOUSE MANAGER IS…THE PERSON WHO IS ALREADY THREE STEPS AHEAD.   You're organized without needing everything to be predictable. You're proactive enough to notice the detergent is almost gone and add it to the list rather than waiting for someone to tell you. You can look at a refrigerator and see three dinners. You actually enjoy turning a chaotic closet into something functional. And a good list, labeled bin, or beautifully organized calendar may bring you an unreasonable amount of happiness.

Most importantly, you're someone this family can trust to own things. Both parents have demanding careers and three little people who deserve their attention when they're home. They're not looking for another person to manage. They're looking for someone capable, thoughtful, and dependable who can take a whole category of family life and say, I've got it. here will always be another load of laundry, another grocery run, another birthday gift, and another tiny pair of pants that somehow stopped fitting overnight.

Because the best thing you'll help create here isn't an organized home. It's more time for the people living in it.

Requirements and Benefits

• Nanny MUST have previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
