Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years high acuity Med-Surg Tele level or higher required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: Required certifications include ACLS, BLS. Must-Have: Oncology experience preferred but not required. Experience floating to Med-Surg and PCU Oncology units. Current acute care experience required. Description: The role involves working within a comprehensive cancer center with specialized inpatient units. You will be required to float between various Medical-Surgical and PCU Oncology units. Duties include monitoring and caring for cancer patients and managing high-acuity situations. You will be responsible for adhering to infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies. Staffing ratios may vary depending on the unit and acuity levels. Weekend and holiday work may be required based on staffing needs. This position requires proficiency in managing various clinical tasks and patient care responsibilities. Staffing priorities and shift assignments will be reviewed regularly, but changes are not guaranteed. The role requires strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care. Candidates must meet the emergency credentialing requirements and availability timelines. Professional references are required from leadership capacities to validate clinical experience.
