Medical Assistant (CMA Preferred) - Temporary 3-Month Assignment Location: Savannah, GA
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a well-established outpatient healthcare practice in Savannah, GA . This is a full-time temporary assignment expected to last approximately 3 months while permanent staff are being recruited. - Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Friday or Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (approximately one Saturday per month)
- Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Friday or Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (approximately one Saturday per month)
- Room and triage patients
- Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
- Assist providers with minor office procedures
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Conduct point-of-care testing, including:
- HIV testing
- A1C testing
- Rapid swabs and other in-office testing
- Administer injections as directed
- Support nurse visits, including Depo injections, PPD placements/reads, immunizations, and other routine clinical services
- Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record
- Process prior authorizations
- Answer and return patient phone calls
- Complete patient forms and other clinical administrative tasks
- Deliver compassionate, professional patient care while maintaining confidentiality
- Previous Medical Assistant experience required
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Comfortable working independently in a busy outpatient clinic
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required for this temporary assignment
- EMR experience preferred
- Competitive hourly pay
