Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Day Shift

Job TitleThe LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.Hours: 7am to 3pm, 5 days per week, rotating weekendsResponsibilitiesGlen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy.QualificationsRequirements:Education: Graduate from a Vocational School of Nursing Accredited by the State Board of Nursing.Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a /LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred.Licensure: Licensed to practice Vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
