Position Overview

The Lead Business Analyst - Revol One Plus serves as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and implementation partners for the lauch and ongoing evolution of Revol One Plus, our voluntary benefits line of business. This role leads requirements discovery, process analysis, solution definition, backlog readiness, testing support, and implementation coordination across the Verisk FAST platform, mobile enrollment/claims application, and related integrations. It is a hands-on role for an experienced IT Business Analyst who can translate ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable requirements and help ensure technology solutions are scalable, compliant, operationally sound, and ready for launch.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Requirements Leadership & Solution Definition

• Lead requirements elicitation sessions with business stakeholders, product owners, operations, compliance, technology, and vendor partners

• Translate business objectives for Revol One Plus into clear business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and decision rules

• Owner requirements traceability from discovery through design, build, testing, implementation, and post-launch stabilization

• Business Process Analysis & Operating Model Design

• Document current state and future-state processes for voluntary benefits enrollment, policy administration, billing, claims, servicing, reporting, and compliance workflows

• Identify process gaps, control needs, operational risks, handoffs, exception scenarios, and opportunities, for automation or simplification

• Partner with Operations, Product, Legal/Compliance, Distribution, and Technology to ensure process designs are practical, scalable, and aligned to launch readiness

• Platform, Integration & Data Requirements

• Define business and functional requirements for the Verisk FAST platform, mobile enrollment/claims application, digital enrollment journeys, integrations, reporting, and downstream operational processes

• Work with architects, developers, QA, vendors, and business SMEs to clarify system behavior, data flows, validation rules, calculations, workflow states, security considerations, and exception handling

• Support integration design by documenting source-to-target mappings, interface requirements, dependencies, and business validation scenarios

• Agile Delivery & Backlog Readiness

• Partner with PRoduct Owners, Scrum Masters, delivery leads, and implementation teams to maintain a clear, prioritized, sprint-read backlog

• Write and refine user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, dependencies, assumptions, and testable outcomes

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and release readiness discussions to ensure business intent is understood and delivered

• Testing, UAT & Implementation Support

• Support QA planning by translating requirements into test scenarios, expected results, traceability matrices, and business validation criteria

• Coordinate with QA and business users during system testing, UAT, defect triage, retesting, and release validation

• Help ensure business processes, system functionality, integrations, reporting, and controls, are production-ready prior to go-live

• Vendor, Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Serve as key liaison among Revol One business teams, technology delivery teams, Verisk, mobile application partners, and other vendors supporting Revol One Plus

• Facilitate working sessions, clarify open questions, document decisions, manage requirements-related risks, and escalate issues that may affect scope, schedule, quality, or launch readiness

• Provide clear updates to project leadership on requirements status, readiness gaps, business impacts, and decisions needed

• BA Practice Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Establish practical standards for requirements documentation, process modeling, traceability, UAT support, and business readiness across the Revol One Plus initiative

• Mentor other analysts or project team members on effective business analysis practices, requirements quality, and stakeholder communication

• Promote a collaborative, fast-moving, quality-focused delivery culture appropriate for nimble startup environment

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years of business analysis, systems analysis, product analysis, or related IT delivery experience, including experience leading complex business and technology initiatives

• Strong experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, data mappings, and traceability matrices.

• Demonstrated ability to work across business stakeholders, technology teams, QA, vendors, and executives to clarify needs, resolve ambiguity, and drive decisions.

• Experience supporting Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, story decomposition, acceptance criteria definition, demos, and release readiness.

• Experience supporting system testing and UAT, including test scenario development, defect triage, business validation, and production readiness reviews.

• Working knowledge of systems integration, APIs, data flows, reporting, security considerations, and operational controls.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and documentation skills.

• Insurance, voluntary benefits, policy administration, benefits administration, or financial services experience strongly preferred.

• Hands-on analyst and problem solver who can ccreate structure from ambiguity and drive clarity across competing priorities.

• Strong business and technology acumen, with the ability to translate between operational needs and technical delivery requirements.

• High ownership mindset with strong follow-through, attention to detail, and bias for pratical, launch-ready outcomes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences.

Preferred Background

• Prior experience with voluntary benefits, group insurance, insuretech, annuity/life insurance operations, or financial technology.

• Experience with Verisk FAST or comparable policy administration, claims, enrollment, benefits, administration, CRM , workflow, or digital servicing platforms.

• Experience with mobil-first digital enrollment, claims, self-service, or agent/customer portal solutions.

• Business analysis certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, CSPO, CSM, or similar Agile/Product certification.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio/Lucidchart, Excel, SQL, Postman, or reporting/analytics platforms.
