Senior Business Analyst

Meet with customers to understand business needs and project goals Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes through business and systems process analysis and design Gather business requirements, conduct needs assessments, and develop functional specifications Lead customers through requirements processes using decomposition, prototyping, current-state/target-state mapping, and other techniques Create statements of work, business requirements documents, user stories, process flow diagrams, and project plans Communicate requirements to development teams through specifications, user stories, statements of work, and other documentation Lead test strategy, including test plans, test cases, and test execution Prepare training materials and provide customer and project-team training Manage and organize multiple projects to ensure timely completion Lead initial scoping, proposals, and resource coordination during presales Manage customer engagements and deliver agreed scope on time and on budget Lead presales by gathering high-level requirements, writing statements of work, and facilitating estimates Plan, execute, and close small to medium projects when applicable Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets Coordinate and lead project teams Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders Use HBS project tools and standards Participate in professional communities and technology-related forums Work across multiple industries, functional areas, and business processes Review and update HBS standard methodologies Travel occasionally to service customers, up to 25% of the time Requirements 6+ years of experience performing software analysis and requirements gathering 6+ years of experience implementing both custom and off-the-shelf business systems 6+ years of experience in User Experience and Usability Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics or Business Administration or equivalent experience Strong skills with Microsoft Office 365 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Project Strong soft skills demonstrating leadership and emotional intelligence for managing difficult conversations, conflict management, problem solving, and managing complex teams Strong project management ability Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks Strong relationship-building and communication skills Outcome-focused mindset Strong prioritization skills Team-player attitude Professional attitude and respectful demeanor Ability to travel up to 25% of the time when required Must meet annual billable hour goal as defined by HBS Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in software analysis, requirements gathering, and project management, with a strong focus on user experience and usability.
