Senior Field Technician

Senior Field Representative, Field Services Support Services and repairs a variety of office equipment at customer locations within a designated geographic area. May serve as a specialist on selected products and may take on a Team Lead/Coordinator role. Position requires one industry certification. Responsibilities Specialize in the servicing and repair of highly complex office products. Manage territory, inventory, and customer relationships. Provide second‑level technical support to other technicians. Achieve expected productivity levels for assigned workload. Drive revenue opportunities through supply leads, contract sales, and equipment assessment leads. Work with minimal supervision. Perform diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on core office equipment. Demonstrate required digital competencies for assigned products. Troubleshoot and repair or replace components on B&W, color, and multifunctional devices. Complete technical training on new equipment as assigned. Conduct on‑the‑job training for new and experienced technicians. Conduct technical seminars as required. Model professional appearance and behavior under challenging situations. Act as a positive influence and champion within the team. Seek continual improvement. Assume responsibilities of Field Technology Service Manager as needed. Execute territory management and call‑handling procedures. Collaborate with sales partners to maximize equipment leads and upgrade opportunities. Maintain and manage own parts inventory accurately. Follow territory back‑up plans. Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely. Comply with all company policies. Handle difficult customer situations effectively. Act as a communication link on unresolved technical problems. Determine service needs and ensure high customer satisfaction. Maintain professional relationships with all company personnel. Manage a "car stock" inventory and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including at least 2 years as a Technology Service Consultant I. One industry certification, maintained for at least 2 years at a performance level that meets or exceeds expectations. Valid state driver's license and minimum auto insurance coverage required for positions that involve extensive personal vehicle use. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent working knowledge of electro‑mechanical devices and electronics. Expert knowledge of assigned equipment. Methodical approach to problem resolution. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills, including follow-up to ensure closure of issues. Ability to read and comprehend written technical information such as manuals and parts books. Working Conditions Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation. Extensive daily travel in a vehicle between customer locations, often in varying weather conditions. Exposure to minor cuts and burns; frequent use of chemical solvents and cleaners. Shift work, overtime, stand‑by, and on‑call may be required. Daily internal contact with dispatch and parts departments. Daily external contact with customers such as office managers and machine operators. Work may involve physical effort to move or lift equipment up to 400 pounds and personal lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting when installing equipment. Tool cases and service tools weighing 25-50 pounds must be carried to various locations.
