Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves working in a high-volume, Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center within a busy emergency department. The position requires delivering exceptional patient care, demonstrating teamwork, and adapting to various clinical areas within the department.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start date; American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) certifications within 90 days of hire; a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting, in a high-volume (100,000 visits annually) emergency department, and at least 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with HCA systems.
• Additional Information: The selected candidate must be flexible to work in all areas of the emergency department and be open to floating within the ED. The department emphasizes teamwork, respectful patient interactions, and utilizes Cerner as its documentation system. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in procedural skills and a teamwork mentality.
