This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.?Hansen Ag Placement is seeking a Ranch Assistant for a progressive, family-owned livestock and farming operation in South Dakota to support daily operations across a diversified cattle and crop enterprise. This role is ideal for someone with strong feedlot experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity with potential to grow into more responsibility over time.?Hourly rate starting at $25/hour and up DOE?Key Responsibilities:- Operate feed wagon (NDE mixers, Case IH tractors)- Daily feeding and monitoring of cattle health and performance- Sorting, processing, and handling livestock- Drive trucks (non-CDL) for hauling feed, hay, manure, and materials- Maintain feedlot pens: scraping (dozer/box blade), manure handling and pen upkeep- Assist with general ranch and farming duties as neededRequired:- Feedlot and cattle handling experience- Ability to run feed equipment independently- Comfortable driving trucks and operating machinery- Strong work ethic and reliabilityPreferred:- Background in both livestock and row crop operations?This is a small, family-run operation, not a corporate feedyard.
