EHS Sr Specialist

Delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks. Communicates regularly with management regarding the status of environmental initiatives. Ensures training records, handbooks, incident reports, and other documentation are maintained. Tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Monitors known health, safety or environmental hazards, such as noise, air or wastewater pollution levels. Coordinates inspection of facilities, vehicles or equipment and recommends corrections or precautions to ensure compliance with regulations. Communicates facility‑specific emergency response or evacuation plans. Maintains broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate’s Degree and 5‑7 years experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Required technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Background in Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline. Knowledge of safety best practices, communications, inspections, investigations, policies, procedures, training and documentation. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods. Requires regular movement throughout the facility. Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Travel Requirements Requires regular movement throughout the facility; occasional travel may be required.
