CT Technologist - Weekend Nights

Description Job Summary CT Technologist (Full‑time) – required weekend and night shift availability. Florida‑licensed CT Technologist will perform diagnostic CT and x‑ray exams at two off‑campus locations (Largo West Hospital and FSERs) and rotate to the Main Campus. Competencies include brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, upper/lower extremities, sella, and biopsy procedures. Responsibilities Select proper technical factors for study and perform diagnostic CT examinations accurately, compassionately, and respectfully. Maintain operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system. Assist in the administration of contrast media and related procedures. Position patients securely, ensuring modesty and safe use of auxiliary equipment. Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete required fields in MEDITECH accurately and timely. Obtain high‑quality CT images and ensure only optimal images are submitted for interpretation. Stay proficient with software protocols and keep up‑to‑date with industry changes through in‑service study and training. Communicate proactively with patients and colleagues, including radiologists. Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness of tables/equipment, prevent cross‑contamination, and keep rooms stocked with linens and supplies. Accept on‑call and call‑back responsibilities as needed for patient care. Qualifications Completion of a 24‑month Radiologic Technology program at an accredited, AMA‑approved institution. Current ARRT (CT) certification. Clear/active Florida Department of Health Licensure (CRT). Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
