Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is seeking dependable and motivated Cook Helpers for immediate opportunities within secure juvenile facilities throughout Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Manhattan. We are hiring for flexible Per Diem assignments within a 24/7 facility environment, with schedules varying based on operational needs.

This role is ideal for candidates with kitchen, food prep, hospitality, customer service, childcare, warehouse, or institutional support experience who are looking for flexible work opportunities in NYC facilities.

Pay Rate: $21.54 per hour Weekly Pay Per Diem & Flexible Scheduling Available Immediate Openings Available Weekend Availability Required

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist Cooks with food preparation and meal service
• Wash, chop, portion, and prepare ingredients
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment
• Safely operate kitchen tools and kitchen equipment
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety procedures
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies
• Work professionally alongside facility staff and security personnel

Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen, food prep, or food service experience preferred
• Institutional, facility, or commercial kitchen experience is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 4050 lbs
• Must be dependable, punctual, and adaptable
• Must be able to pass required background clearances
• Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply

Available Shifts:

• 5:00 AM 1:00 PM
• 11:30 AM 7:30 PM
• 1:00 PM 10:00 PM

Additional shifts may be available based on facility needs. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
