Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)


Shift: Days


Pay: $22.80 - $29.64 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option


Summary:
Performs gross examinations on simple anatomic pathology specimens as approved by the facility Medical Director.

Responsibilities:

• Accessions surgical pathology specimens and maintains gross room and equipment.
• Ensures specimen integrity upon arrival and throughout the entire process.
• Aids Pathologists, Pathologists' Assistants, Lab assistants, and Residents.
• Performs and stains frozen sections.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a medical laboratory science or Bachelor's degree in related technical field.
• 2 years of relevant experience in an Anatomic Pathology laboratory.
