Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long-Term CareThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to geriatric residents in a long-term care facility. The LPN is responsible for demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients of various ages, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. The nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with established policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesCollect data relevant to residents' physical and psychosocial conditions on an ongoing basis and communicate findings to the Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary team.Contribute to the development of an age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plan, involving the resident/family and healthcare team.Recommend revisions to the care plan based on resident outcomes and indicate the need for referrals to address all aspects of care.Participate in maintaining current knowledge and competency in nursing practice through continuing education and clinics.Provide leadership within the nursing practice setting under the direction of the Registered Nurse.Engage in tasks with potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureValid New York LPN LicensureCurrent BLS certificationMinimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a long-term care settingAble to work 24 hours per 4 weeks, including 2 weekend shiftsScheduleThis position requires flexibility to work shifts starting on either Tuesday or Thursday, running through the holiday season.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
