Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Toxicology
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for the Toxicology department in Burlington, NC, working night shifts (10pm-6:30am Monday-Friday). The role involves performing laboratory testing procedures, operating instrumentation, quality control, and specimen processing. New graduates are welcome with full training provided.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability according to established laboratory criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
- Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- 3 months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
