Baker Gulf Coast Industrial is currently seeking a Construction Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will be based out of our Baton Rouge, LA office and will have travel expectations within Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. The Construction Manager will be competent in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, high quality and productive (SSQP) manner. In partnership with regional senior management, the CM determines project ways, means, methods and staffing. You will be responsible for building the project on paper to determine the most efficient and cost-effective method(s).

What You Will Do:

• Plan Work; Oversees the transition and start-up process, reviews project documents to establish the most cost-effective way to build the project while considering the impact of safety, quality and schedule.
• Defines the execution of the work; Oversees project costs, manages and directs field supervision and anticipates and mitigates schedule conflicts.
• Be responsible with working closely with Operation and Division Manager of Concrete Solutions as well as the CM's of the Civil and Deep Foundation groups.
• Network with members of the management teams of the other restoration groups inside Baker Construction.
• Promotes client and industry relations.
• Directs and oversees the work of the field team.
• Ensures a safe work environment.

What You Will Bring:

• Experience in civil construction is a must and experience in concrete repair, structural strengthening and concrete coatings is highly recommended.
• Bachelor's degree and 15 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, craftsmen and customers
• Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of construction software such as Primavera, Timberline, Vista and the like
• Ability to understand, customize and modify spreadsheets
