Lead Building Performance Excellence at JLL!Location: New YorkWork Schedule: Remote (with 50% travel), M-F 8-5Reports to: Vice President, CommissioningEstimated compensation for this position is: $125-165k annuallyWhat this job involves:JLL is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate for the position of Senior Project Manager, Commissioning. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a critical role in providing reliable, timely, and efficient support to our Commissioning & Building Analytics (CBA) team. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex projects in various industry sectors, working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record, possess strong leadership skills, and excel at problem-solving and decision-making.What your day-to-day will look like:Lead project commissioning: Monitor and execute all commissioning phases from design review through post-construction, providing technical expertise and field oversight across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsDevelop commissioning deliverables: Create robust commissioning plans, specifications, activity schedules, and sequence-of-work aligned with ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED requirementsExecute field activities: Lead comprehensive on-site commissioning including equipment inspections, startup oversight, functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, and seasonal/performance verificationManage cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors; chair commissioning meetings to ensure effective stakeholder communication and project alignmentPerform technical reviews: Conduct thorough design drawing reviews, specification reviews, and submittal evaluations to verify systems meet project requirements and identify potential issuesConduct systems testing: Utilize calibrated testing equipment (flow hoods, thermal cameras, power quality meters, anemometers) to test and verify HVAC, building automation, plumbing, lighting controls, and emergency power systemsDeliver project documentation: Develop and track issues logs, compile systems manuals, create training programs for operations staff, and provide comprehensive support for all commissioning documentation requirementsAdditional Expectations:Willingness to travel up to 50% to client sites across the USA to oversee project implementation and provide support.Assist the team in meeting the demands of a heavy workload.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently.Possess strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.Required Qualifications:A recognized university technical degree or equivalent. Engineering Degree is preferred.Extensive experience using mechanical testing meters and equipment to analyze and report on test results, including portable data loggers, air flow meters, TAB reports, etc.Minimum of 5+ years of relevant mechanical or electrical engineering and/or field-testing experience.Strong data management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in MS Office products.Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple project schedules concurrently.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.Any combination of Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), Certified Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP), or Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) designations is considered an asset.LEED AP certification is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of sustainability concepts.Willingness and ability to travel internationally when needed to support global projects.Proficiency in using electrical testing meters and equipment to analyze and report on test results, including Power Quality Meters (PQM), thermography, NETA tests, ground tests, hi-pot, megger, etc., is an asset.Please submit your application with an updated resume, location, and contact information.
