Clinical Service Specialist

Out of the Box Physical Therapy | Cedar Knolls, NJ

Out of the Box Physical Therapy is looking for a Clinical Service Specialist to become the face and voice of our practice. This is an ideal position for a recent college graduate or young professional who is highly personable, organized, tech-savvy, and eager to learn.

We are a sports and orthopedic physical therapy clinic that prides itself on delivering exceptional patient experiences through one-on-one care. We believe the patient experience begins long before treatment starts, and this role is critical in creating that experience.

What You'll Do

• Be the first point of contact for patients in person, by phone, text, and email
• Schedule patient appointments and manage provider schedules
• Collect copays and assist patients with billing questions
• Verify insurance benefits and educate patients on their coverage
• Coordinate with physician offices regarding referrals, prescriptions, and patient care needs
• Communicate with our billing company to ensure accurate and efficient claims management
• Maintain organization of patient records and administrative systems
• Manage company email and fax communications
• Assist with social media content collection, posting, and engagement
• Support community outreach and relationship-building efforts
• Help identify opportunities to improve clinic operations and patient experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred (or graduating soon)
• Customer service, hospitality, sales, healthcare, fitness, or administrative experience is a plus
• Proficiency with computers, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms
• Experience with healthcare administration is helpful but not required—we can teach the right person
