Hourly Pay Rate: $54.31

Job Description:
This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. Responsibilities include effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members; assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes; demonstrating sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions; and maintaining involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and department strategic goals. The RN will demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for their own practice while supporting the company's philosophy of nursing.


Education:

• Required: Registered Nurse diploma
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Experience:

• Required: 2+ years of experience in Orthopedics, Neuro, or Trauma

Certifications:

• Required: Current RN license in state of practice, BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area

Job Duties:

• Use the nursing process to deliver patient care effectively
• Assess learning needs and implement tailored teaching strategies
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources
• Use data to evaluate and promote clinical change for improved outcomes
• Promote customer satisfaction and employee morale
• Adapt communication and care approaches to diverse patient populations
• Perform other related duties as required
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to company policies on compliance, privacy, safety, and ethics

Physical and Environmental Demands:

• Heavy Work: exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently, and 10-20 pounds constantly
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and potentially communicable diseases
• Possible occupational risk related to hazardous medications and waste within healthcare environment
