Job Description Job Description Industrial Maintenance Technician (Mechanical / Electrical / PLC) Kansas City, MO $33.00 – $39.00 per hour 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday | 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM Industry: Manufacturing / Corrugated Packaging Overview We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support production operations through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment. This is a critical role responsible for maintaining equipment uptime, improving production efficiency, and ensuring safe, reliable operation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical production equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime Assist with installation and startup of new machinery and equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems Support PLC programming adjustments and system configuration (based on experience) Inspect, test, and repair electrical components and systems Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and documentation Participate in safety audits and ensure OSHA compliance Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, or PLC) Ability to read schematics and technical documents Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Must provide own basic hand tools Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Preferred: Experience in manufacturing or corrugated packaging environments Hands-on experience with PLC systems in production settings Work Environment Industrial manufacturing facility Hands-on role involving mechanical and electrical systems Requires standing, walking, climbing, and physical repairs Safety-sensitive environment with strict OSHA compliance Labor Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
