It’s a horizontal capability powering every critical step of the customer lifecycle — from onboarding and meeting compliance requirements to enabling secure, seamless product experiences across Ripple’s entire suite.We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to build and lead the team that will design, deliver, and scale this platform for the next chapter of Ripple’s growth. You’ll operate at the intersection of platform engineering, vendor integration, and cross-product orchestration, ensuring Ripple can move faster, operate with trust, and meet the demands of a regulated global business.This is a high-leverage leadership role: you will build the team from the ground up, own the evolution of a trusted identity data model decoupled from legacy systems, and deliver the capabilities that make Ripple’s customer experiences secure, compliant, and ready to scale worldwide.What You’ll DoHire, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to the Identity Platform — defining its culture, standards, and ways of working from day one.Partner with Product, Compliance, and other engineering teams to deliver capabilities that power customer onboarding and compliance workflows across Ripple’s products.Integrate with world-class vendors like Persona for KYC/KYB, while owning the orchestration, persistence, and service layers that connect them to Ripple’s core systems.Lead the design and governance of a core identity data model, decoupled from legacy systems and built as a source-of-truth across Ripple.Build for global scale — enabling identity workflows that meet diverse regulatory requirements and operational needs across multiple geographies.Define and implement a technical roadmap balancing near-term delivery with long-term architectural durability.Champion engineering excellence in design, testing, security, observability, and operational practices.What We’re Looking ForProven track record as a Senior Engineering Manager (or equivalent) leading platform or identity-focused teams delivering complex, distributed systems.Domain expertise in identity, KYC/KYB, regtech, or compliance-heavy platforms — with hands-on delivery of critical identity capabilities.Experience integrating major vendors into platform architectures while maintaining reliability, security, and compliance.Strength in guiding teams through complex system migrations and legacy decoupling.Skilled at aligning diverse team members — across engineering, product, compliance, and legal — into a coherent technical strategy.Proven ability to deliver platforms with uncompromising reliability, auditability, and compliance in a regulated environment.Experience building teams and capabilities that scale across multiple geographies and regulatory frameworks.Why This Role is High-ImpactHorizontal reach: Your work will power identity, onboarding, and compliance capabilities across all Ripple products.Foundational scope: You’ll shape the platform that underpins trust, regulatory compliance, and customer activation globally.Global complexity: Build systems that work across multiple geographies, each with unique regulatory and operational needs.Strategic alignment: This work is a top company priority with direct sponsorship from senior engineering and business leadership.If you want to own a platform at the heart of Ripple’s global customer experience — one that demands technical excellence, deep domain expertise, and leadership at scale — we’d love to talk.For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions.
