QA Automation Engineer

ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY


Our client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support a large-scale application modernization initiative focused on migrating legacy monolithic systems to a Kotlin-based microservices architecture. This engineer will play a critical role in ensuring quality throughout the migration by building and maintaining automated testing frameworks, validating system functionality, and supporting CI/CD enablement efforts. The project is part of a multi-year transformation program with significant long-term impact across the organization.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU


You will join a Software Engineering in Test team responsible for validating applications during a major platform modernization effort. This role offers the opportunity to work across both Java and Kotlin environments while helping build scalable automation solutions, strengthen test coverage, and improve software quality throughout the migration process. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify defects, validate new functionality, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and ensure system reliability as applications transition from monolithic architectures to microservices.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS (Top 3 Must-Have Skills)
• 2-3+ years of Software Engineering in Test (SDET), QA Automation, or software quality engineering experience with a strong testing mindset and ability to identify issues beyond developer-written tests
• Hands-on experience with both Java and Kotlin , including developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts in either or both languages
• Experience working within modern software development environments, including automated testing frameworks , CI/CD pipelines , and collaboration with development teams throughout the software lifecycle

NICE TO HAVES
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code
• Prior experience supporting projects within Apple environments
