Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist
Full-time Speech-Language Pathologist located north of Spearfish, SD. Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all ages, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients of varying ages
- Provide therapy to address speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on home programs and therapy techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with best practices and emerging research in speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current South Dakota SLP license or ability to obtain one
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical reasoning skills
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
