Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist - Traveler to support our client’s medical facility based in Indianapolis IN 46219 This is a 5+ month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist - Traveler Location: Indianapolis IN 46219 Schedule: day shift 6a-2:30pm with rotational weekends Duration: 5+ months Required Experience Gram stains Positive blood cultures ASCP Certified Job Summary Performs laboratory testing and analysis on patient specimens to support diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. Ensures high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety while carrying out assigned technical responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment. Essential Functions Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures, quality assurance guidelines, and safety standards. Prepare reagents, maintain supplies, and manage inventory to support efficient operations and reduce waste. Exercise sound clinical judgment to prioritize workload, identify issues, troubleshoot test systems, and escape concerns through appropriate channels when needed. Assist with review and revision of procedures and documentation to support accreditation and regulatory compliance (CAP, TJC, OSHA, etc.). Maintain clear, real-time communication with teammates and leadership regarding issues impacting patient care or department operations.
