Business Manager

We are looking for a Business Manager with Home Care experience to help lead our team, support our staff, and continue building a positive, service-focused company culture. What You’ll Do Help grow the business by building trusted relationships with referral sources through marketing, education, and community outreach. Maintain a strong understanding of State, Federal, and business requirements, and help ensure the company remains compliant. Oversee billing and payroll functions in accordance with company policies and processes. Lead, support, and encourage internal staff while helping create a positive and respectful workplace. Promote continual training and development so employees feel prepared, confident, and supported. Support ongoing recruitment efforts to ensure we have a strong employee base to serve our clients well. Communicate regularly and compassionately with clients and families to build trust and provide exceptional service. Help maintain operating margins and employee wage scales responsibly. Review and update policies, procedures, and pricing at least annually, including those related to applicants, clients, employees, and regulatory requirements. Foster an uplifting work atmosphere where employees feel appreciated and motivated. Coordinate with HR to ensure proper protocols are followed for employee recognition, discipline, termination, incident investigation and resolution, injury and worker’s compensation management, and other HR matters. What We’re Looking For A caring, positive attitude and a genuine desire to serve clients, families, and employees well. Prior experience in the Home Care industry is preferred. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to stay patient and detail‑oriented during stressful situations. Excellent communication and telephone skills. Ability to write clear, professional business letters and correspondence. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Basic math skills and an understanding of percentages. Understanding of basic marketing, including social media. Familiarity with California Home Care and HR‑related laws. Ability to manage, motivate, and support a team of approximately 10 staff members. Initiative, follow‑through, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Willingness to be on‑call when needed. Why Join Us?
