Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, andmodifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role requires the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that enable effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while also performing other professional duties related to patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients using clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner in accordance with state, federal, and clinic policies.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as necessary.
• Participate in the student program, providing supervision and development of learning objectives.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives and participate in action plans to improve service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8 schedule, providing 60-minute evaluations and subsequent follow-up sessions every 30 minutes.
