HW Design Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design RF and digital hardware solutions using Atlanta Micro MMIC components Use CAD tools to design printed circuit boards and packaging for evals and modules Develop embedded software & firmware for digital control of RF components Conduct manual and automated performance tests to characterize RF semiconductor components Work with customers to synthesize requirements, assist with proposal writing, and project planning Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Masters degree preferred 3+ years of work experience with board-level, mixed signal design Experience with programmable digital logic devices such as FPGAs, PLDs Experience with printed circuit board design using CAD tools such as Altium or Cadence Ability to independently setup and run basic RF measurements such as Noise Figure, Intercept point, tuning speed, etc. Qualifications Good knowledge of analog circuit fundamentals and design techniques Ability to plan, and execute development projects as the technical lead Ability to instruct and guide technicians and assemblers in implementing RF assemblies Familiar with automated test software applications such as LabView and Python US Citizen Mercury Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
