Clinical Program Supervisor Senior (Recovery Court)Job Summary: This position supports the Richmond Recovery Court Program by providing clinical and programmatic oversight, including supervision and development of clinical staff. The Clinical Supervisor ensures that assessments, referrals, documentation, service delivery, and other program operations are completed in accordance with Recovery Court requirements and established clinical standards. Responsibilities include oversight of individual and group interventions, staff training and supervision, care coordination and collaboration with court personnel and community partners. This role is critical to maintaining program quality, promoting effective treatment services and supporting positive recovery outcomes for program participants.Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:Supervise clinical staff and daily operations of assigned programMonitor service delivery to ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirementsProvide coaching, feedback, and performance support to team membersParticipate in hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical staffCollaborate with internal departments and external partners to coordinate servicesReview documentation and ensure accuracy in electronic health recordsSupport crisis response and escalation protocols as neededContribute to program development and quality improvement initiativesPosition Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field3–5 years of experience in clinical services or behavioral healthLicensure required based on program scope (e.g., LCSW, LPC)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systemsPossession of a valid Virginia driver's license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with agency policyPreferred Qualifications:LCSW, LPC preferredExperience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disordersExperience working with justice-involved adults is preferred but not mandatoryKnowledge and experience with evidence based and best practices for the justice involved populationFamiliarity with collaborative court programs is preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of behavioral health systems, clinical standards, and supervision practicesSkill in coaching, mentoring, and performance managementSkill in documentation review and regulatory complianceAbility to manage team dynamics and support service excellenceAbility to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and external partnersAbility to contribute to program development and strategic planningAbility to learn and retain processes through instruction and apply them independentlyAbility to identify potential problems or detect when something may be likely to go wrongSupervisory Responsibilities:This position oversees day-to-day operations and may assign work, monitor performance, and provide feedback.May contribute to performance evaluations and participate in hiring decisions but does not have final authority over personnel actions.Work Environment and Physical Demands:Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.While this role may involve desk-based tasks, employees must be able to ambulate independently, operate a motor vehicle, and transition between office and field environments.Field-based responsibilities may include walking short distances, climbing stairs, and carrying essential work items such as a laptop.Close concentration, visual attention and need for manual dexterity required.Normal working conditions. Work is typically performed in a standard behavioral health environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.Conditions may fluctuate based on client acuity and behavioral presentations. Staff may be required to implement behavior management techniques and participate in crisis intervention procedures.
