Spanish Hills Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing at our freestanding, multi-specialty surgery center. We are looking for a leader who can oversee clinical operations at our busy facility. The DON is also responsible for overseeing nursing services, the infection control program, quality assurance and regulatory compliance with AAAHC and CMS.

 

This role requires a strong clinical background, operational experience, ability to effectively manage staff and oversee the day-to-day flow of the OR's and preop and recovery room.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Provide leadership an oversight of all nursing and clinical support staff
• Ensure delivery of safe, high quality patient care
• Maintain compliance with AAAHC and CMS regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and anesthesia provider to optimize safety and patient outcomes
• Manage infection control, risk management and safety programs
• Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and executive leadership

 

Qualifications:

 

• RN licensed in California
• Minimum of three years of operating room experience
• Prior experience in a managerial role, prior charge nurse or DON
• Prefer someone with knowledge of regulatory standards and accreditation process
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
