Production Control Manager Accounts Payable ClerkLudlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a Production Control Manager Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The Production Control Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are met efficiently, safely, and cost effectively. This role oversees production planning, scheduling, inventory control, material availability, capacity planning, and cross-functional coordination between manufacturing, engineering, and procurement in a high-mix / low volume production environment.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Develop and maintain master production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and inventory requirements.Monitor changes in product mix and adjust schedules to address changing priorities, capacity constraints, material availability, and customer needs.Balance labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize efficiency and throughput.Ensure production schedules support customer delivery commitments and business objectives.Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to align production plans with plant capacity and operational goals.Reviews and maintains ERP data related to manufacturing lead time, reorder point, work order quantity, and inventory turnsLead weekly production review meetings and communicate priorities across departments.Drive system improvements within ERP/MRP platforms.Supports requests from Sales for lead times, order status, and planning for large customer orders.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including: On-time delivery (OTD), Schedule attainment, Inventory turns, Order backlog.Analyze production data and identify improvement opportunities.Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management.Supervise and develop production planners, schedulers, and finished goods personnel.Establish departmental objectives and monitor performance.Lead initiatives to improve production planning processes and manufacturing workflows.Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations.Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management.3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production planning methodologies.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.APICS/ASCM certifications such as CPIM or CSCP is a plusReports To: Operations Director Direct Reports: Production Planners, Schedulers, Inventory Control Specialists, and related production control personnel Compensation / Benefits:Salary is dependent upon experienceHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysFlexible Spending AccountOpportunities for professional growth and developmentAbout Ludlum Measurements Ludlum Measurements, Inc. designs and manufactures radiation detection instruments used in environmental, industrial, and governmental applications around the world.
