W2 only - Data Engineer

Location: Secaucus, NJ (Onsite – Hybrid – 3 days in a week) Position Type: Contract position Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer with around 2 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI , along with a solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and business intelligence reporting. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support business reporting and analytics. Build and optimize data models and database objects in Snowflake . Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI . Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and data requirements. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple data sources. Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of SQL queries and Snowflake workloads. Support data integration projects and automate data workflows. Create technical documentation for data pipelines, dashboards, and database objects. Work closely with cross‑functional teams including Data Analysts, BI Developers, and Software Engineers. Required Skills 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer, or a related role. Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake . Proficient in SQL , including complex joins, stored procedures, views, and query optimization. Experience developing dashboards and reports using Tableau . Experience building reports and visualizations using Power BI . Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT processes. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage. Experience with Python or any scripting language is a plus.
