GroundskeeperPay Rate: $20–$22/hr, paid weekly Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Location: Nashville, TN 37214 Duration: 3 month contractOverviewMaintain the grounds, landscaping, and facilities at the Tennessee School for the Blind. This role includes operating landscaping equipment, completing routine grounds maintenance, and assisting with minor facility repairs.ResponsibilitiesMow lawns, trim grass, and prune trees and shrubs.Remove leaves, litter, debris, snow, and ice from campus grounds.Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain grass, flowers, shrubs, and trees.Operate mowers, tractors, trucks, pressure washers, and hand or power tools.Maintain and perform minor repairs on groundskeeping equipment.Assist with minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and electrical repairs.Change light bulbs and pressure wash or paint campus surfaces.Set up indoor and outdoor areas for campus events.Follow OSHA requirements and campus safety procedures.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.At least 1 year of grounds maintenance, landscaping, labor, or trades experience.Valid driver's license required.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and perform frequent physical activity.Background RequirementsMust pass TBI and FBI fingerprinting and background checks.Background approval is required before the contract begins.Benefits (Employee Contribution)Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Life InsuranceRetirement PlanWe are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
