What We Offer:
Novant Health is hiring a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) registered nurse for the night shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC.
- Schedule : Full-Time, 0.9 FTE, 72 Hours per 2 weeks, 12-hour Night Shift, 7p – 7a
- Department : Medicine IV

About our Medicine IV Unit:
We're seeking compassionate and patient care driven nurses to join our Med Surg team! Our unit comprises 41 beds; we have a patient ratio averaging 5-6 :1 it is our goal with our new team model, where every patient is assigned an RN, LPN and CNA it is our goal for the ratio then be 10:2. Given the high modality of the cases we handle, our nursing team thrives on great communication, ongoing team support and training within the workplace. What We're Looking For:- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
- 1 year of acute nursing experience, required.
- Provide specialized care and monitor patients closely.
- Work with healthcare teams to develop care plans for patients.
- Manage complex conditions and perform necessary procedures.
- Respond quickly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions.
- Educate patients and families on care and treatment options.
- Accurately document patient information and care interventions in medical records.
