ICU - Surgical/Medical ICU

Schedule
Shift: Nights
Schedule options: 36 or 48 hours (48-hour schedule at straight time allowed)
Weekends: Required; rotating weekend schedule

Assignment Details
Patient population: Adults
Beds: 32

Requirements
- 2 years ICU experience preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Preferred certifications: PALS, CPI, NIHSS, TNCC
- Charting system: Epic (preferred)
- Licensure: Pending NM/Compact licenses accepted but must be obtained prior to start

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care for critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and manage ventilator support as needed.
- Administer medication and IV fluids, while monitoring for potential side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Support patients and their families through education and reassurance during critical care situations.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and reporting within the charting system.

Compliance / Notes
Orientation: 12 hours
Pre-approved time off: One (list RTO at submittal; limited auto-approval may apply)
Local candidates: 50-mile local radius - locals not accepted
Prior facility staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
