This role will be focusing on product and process quality, while supporting Customer Quality Engineer on customer complaints and requests.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Process Quality Management:Manage the corrective action process to ensure timely and effective resolutionSupport the disposition of non-conforming materialsPartner with Engineering to assess product and process risks and implement appropriate control plansDevelop and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs) with Manufacturing and New Product Development teamsParticipate in the review of product and process change requestsManage data collection (including SPC), analysis, and improvement activitiesIssue quality alerts in response to customer complaints and process deviationsServe as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters on the production floorProduct Quality ManagementPerform internal product auditsSupport Supplier Quality, Product Design Engineering, and New Product Development/Introduction by ensuring alignment between product requirements and material specificationsTroubleshoot and drive resolution of manufacturing-related quality issuesQuality Inspection, GD&T, SPCSupport the calibration and ongoing monitoring of measurement equipmentManage data collection (including SPC), analysis, and continuous improvement effortsInitiate and support engineering changes to ensure accurate GD&T application on drawingsDrive improvements in inspection processes and measurement methodsReporting and ImprovementParticipate in daily GEMBA walks and maintain the Quality GEMBA boardProvide monthly reports on quality performance, improvement initiatives, and problem-solving activitiesIdentify opportunities to enhance the Quality Management System and drive continuous improvementDevelop and present quality data during Management Review meetingsSupport continuous improvement initiatives for assigned product and process linesQMS (Quality Management System)Facilitate ISO 9001 certification auditsPerform internal process and quality system audits and maintain the internal audit planOwn and maintain quality processes, procedures, work instructions, and recordsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareStrong knowledge of quality management principles, problem-solving methodologies, and toolsWorking knowledge of testing best practices and defect management processesExperience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systemsAbility to work effectively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsProven ability to resolve issues and contribute to process improvement initiativesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settingsBachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline required5–8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or quality enigneeringExperience with root cause analysis, GD&T, measurement systems, SPC, and lean manufacturing preferredExperience with Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) programming and quality gauge preferredISO 9001 / AS9100 / IATF 16949 / ISO 13485 auditor certification preferredThe physical demands described here are represented of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
