We're ready to go all in on your future and create an engaging environment.ResponsibilitiesBe part of the connection:You compile and analyze various network monitoring and quality control reports to determine possible preemptive measures to prevent future issues. You ensure continued operations of the network and system oversight by identifying the deterioration of components and discrepancies. You collaborate with teams in person and digitally within an office environment.How you can make a difference:Work closely with internal teams to identify root causes and recommend improvements that prevent outages.Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports of network analyses, network monitoring systems, project statuses and other reports.Coordinate and resolve open tickets and root cause efforts in collaboration with leased transport, IP transit and third-party providers.Develop and maintain outage prevention processes and procedures.QualificationsWhat you bring to Spectrum Business:Required qualifications:Experience: One or more years of technical experience with telecommunications or IT networking; One or more years of data, telephone or video network troubleshooting.Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Technical skills: Familiar with data privacy practices and laws; Proficient with Microsoft Office.Skills: Analytical, issue resolution and interpersonal English communication skills.Abilities: Ability to review root cause metrics and reporting initiatives while working with multiple engineering teams.Preferred qualifications:Basic experience with SONET, WDM, Ethernet, IP and other elements and architectures used in modern ISP or carrier communication networks.Experience with SNMP, Syslog, TL1, network alarming or performance monitoring protocols and tools.Knowledge of RF and optical technologies or HFC broadband used for service delivery by MSOs.
