Tax Associate – Investment Funds (Partnership Tax) Location: Austin, TX | Chicago, IL | New York, NY | Washington, DC | California A leading global law firm is seeking a 4–6 year Tax Associate to join its Investment Funds Practice, focusing on partnership tax matters. This role is dedicated to supporting sophisticated asset management clients on complex subchapter K partnership tax issues within a highly regarded transactional platform. The position offers the opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognised funds practice on high-value and technically complex matters. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on subchapter K partnership tax matters Support private equity, hedge fund and asset management structures Provide transactional tax advice in connection with fund formation and related transactions Structure and analyse partnership arrangements and investment vehicles Collaborate closely with the Investment Funds team on sophisticated cross-border and domestic matters Who You Are 4–6 years of transactional tax experience focused on partnership tax Strong background in subchapter K matters within an asset management practice Experience at a Vault 10 law firm preferred Graduated from a top law school with strong academic credentials Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of the office location Compensation Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 (DOE) Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), and a full benefits package within a collaborative, hybrid working environment.
