Workday Finance Functional Consultant

job summary:

Seeking a Functional Consultant with extensive experience in Workday Financials to lead requirement gathering solution design configuration testing and stakeholder engagement for finance transformation initiatives

Workday Financials consulting experience and at least one endtoend Workday Financials implementation experience

location: New York, New York

salary: $65 - 75 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Act as the primary Functional Consultant for Workday Financials implementations and enhancements
• Conduct requirement gathering workshops and perform fitgap analysis with business stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into Workday Finance solutions and functional designs
• Configure and support Workday Financial modules and business processes
• Collaborate with Finance Accounting Procurement and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery
• Support data validation testing SITUAT defect resolution and production deployment activities
• Prepare functional specifications process flows and user documentation
• Provide postgolive support and drive continuous process improvements
• Ensure alignment with financial controls compliance and reporting requirements
• Required Skills
• Extensive experience as a Workday Finance Functional Consultant
• Strong functional knowledge of
• General Ledger GL
• Accounts Payable AP
• Accounts Receivable AR
• Procurement
• Expenses
• Asset Management
• Financial Reporting
• Experience with Workday Financial Management configuration
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes
• Expertise in requirement gathering solution design and stakeholder management
• Experience supporting integrations testing and data validation activities
• Excellent communication and business consulting skills
• Workday Financials certification preferred
