Since our inception in 1941, Watson Clinic has evolved into one of Southeast's largest and most successful multi-specialty medical groups. *Full-time Internal Medicine Physician Assistant needed to join Dr. Widick and his established office-based practice at our Highlands Clinic. Hours are generally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 7 am - 5:30 pm (or until all patients are seen).* At least 1 years of previous experience as a practicing Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care office is required. *Job Duties include:* * Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to adult patients (18), including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within the scope of practice * Accurately performs a history and physical examinations * Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate * Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures * Completes necessary documentation promptly * Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests & IV fluids consistent with the scope of practice of the APRN/PA and the overseeing Physician * Providing an assessment of the patient's medical, physical & psychological status * Documents examination results & records progress notes and provides continuity of care. * Call details are available upon request. *Required:* * BLS certification is required. * PA board certification is required. * Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license) is required.
