CLINICAL PHARMACIST - FULL TIME

Clinical Pharmacy SpecialistThe Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Texoma Medical Center provides pharmacotherapy support to medical staff and providers to optimize medication selection, dosing, and monitoring. Clinical pharmacy specialists participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborations to optimize pharmacotherapeutic care of all applicable patients. The Clinical pharmacy specialist applies their specialized knowledge and clinical experience in evaluating the appropriateness and effectiveness of the patient's medications. They serve as an evidence-based source of therapeutic information and recommendation. Clinical pharmacy specialists are an integral part of Antimicrobial Stewardship by ensuring appropriate antimicrobial therapy is utilized for the appropriate duration of therapy. The Clinical Pharmacy specialist contributes to new and evolving initiatives and participates in the education of nursing, medical staff, and pharmacy staff.Qualifications:Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD)Successful completion of 1 or 2 years of residency training and/or at least two years of Clinical pharmacy work experience.Pharmacist License with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) in good standing is required.Specialized Board of Pharmacy (BPS) Certification is preferred.Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests, communicate effectively, and work independently.Must be able to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.Knowledge of state/federal laws and regulations.Uses effective communication when interacting with co-workers and other professionals across the hospital's disciplines.Must demonstrate the ability to effectively participate on interdisciplinary teams and committees.Must demonstrate ability to prioritize workload as well as flexibility.Follows Just Culture principles to ensure just assessment of individual acts.Creates a safety-conscious work environment where employees feel free to raise safety concerns without intimidation, harassment, discrimination, or fear of retaliation.Demonstrates commitment to safety in decisions and behaviors.Issues potentially impacting safety are promptly identified, fully evaluated, and promptly addressed and corrected commensurate with their significance.EEO Statement: All UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
