Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

As an Assembler, you will build and assemble power supply units using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment. You'll follow drawings and instructions, use measuring tools, perform light touch-up painting, and help keep the work area safe and organized.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Measure parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform touch-up painting when needed.
• Set up and maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Communicate issues, progress, and improvement ideas to your supervisor.
• Assist with moving and positioning materials and components.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, construction, or a related field.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to accurately read a tape measure.
• Basic mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and heavier items when needed.
• Able to bend, squat, crawl, and climb as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring tools.
• Construction or trade experience is a plus.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.

Work Environment

• Large manufacturing and warehouse facility.
• Majority of the shift is spent standing and walking.
• Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Physical work that includes lifting, bending, and working with detailed parts and drawings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
