About the role As a Senior Software Engineer at BrainGu, you will serve as a technical cornerstone for our Mission‑Apps‑as‑a‑Service offering, architecting resilient and high‑scale software solutions. This position requires a deep commitment to engineering excellence, driving innovation across the development lifecycle to meet critical mission objectives. By collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure our applications maintain high‑security standards and performance levels necessary for our clients' success. What you’ll do Architect and engineer sophisticated, high‑scale software systems, ensuring they remain resilient and strictly aligned with overarching mission objectives while driving the evolution of our tech stack through collaborative design leadership. Serve as a cornerstone for engineering excellence by championing rigorous security standards and code quality, implementing defensive measures and refined deployment strategies that exceed standard compliance and best practices. Utilize advanced instrumentation techniques to continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize application performance, delivering exceptional user experiences and performance levels necessary for mission success. What tech you’ll use Front‑End Development : Advanced proficiency in React, with the ability to build dynamic, responsive user interfaces. Back‑End Development : Advanced expertise in Python/Django for server‑side logic and application development. CI/CD : Strong skills with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools, enhancing development efficiency and code quality. Containerization : Experience with Docker for application containerization, streamlining development and deployment processes. Orchestration and Microservices : Knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architecture, supporting scalable and resilient application ecosystems. Qualities of a great candidate 7+ years of proven experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in developing complex web applications using modern technologies. 7+ years of advanced knowledge in both front‑end and back‑end development, with experience in React, Python/Django, and CI/CD environments. Demonstrated ability to architect scalable and resilient solutions, with a keen understanding of architectural patterns and frameworks. Strong commitment to code quality, security, and performance optimization, with experience implementing best practices and mentoring others in these areas. Experience partnering closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other cross‑functional stakeholders to define product requirements, scope technical deliverables, and shape the product roadmap.
