Human Resources Coordinator, HRBP Team Job ID: 298170 Location: Kennesaw, Georgia Full/Part Time: Full Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Primary Location for Job Responsibilities 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144 Marietta campus: 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060 Job Summary Provides comprehensive support to the human resources team and assigned unit(s), ensuring efficient HR operations. This role involves coordination of HR processes, handling administrative tasks, on/off boarding employees, HRIS management, workers' compensation, unemployment inquiries, providing general guidance on policies and procedures and other related HR functions and special projects. Responsibilities Coordinate tasks and processing of assigned HR function, including onboarding and offboarding. Manage and verify documentation processes, including I-9 documentation, E-verify submission, policy and procedure acknowledgements, and new hire paperwork. Assist with new employee orientation. Manage the offboarding process, ensuring proper documentation for terminations and exit procedures to include exit surveys. Process HR and MHS transactions such as new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, name changes and/or changes in job classifications ensuring timeliness, accuracy and compliance with university policies and procedures. Ensure relevant HR knowledge base is current and accurate. Provide general guidance on locating relevant HR policies and procedures on the university and USG websites. Assist employees, including managers, in understanding and applying HR policies and addressing inquiries related to HR processes. Process and respond to unemployment claims in accordance with university policies and state regulations while maintaining records and documentation related to the claims. Coordinate other functions directly related to the assigned area such as employee workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, validation of position and employee data, and ensure timely processing and documentation of each. Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding worker's compensation inquiries. Assist routinely with highly sensitive or confidential matters, while maintaining discretion as appropriate. Schedule and conduct tier 1 exit interviews for departing employees and document feedback and provide reports to HRBPs and the Director of HRBPs. Provide compliant-based responses to ongoing employee HR inquiries. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements : Associate's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience : Two (2) years of human resources or related experience. Preferred Qualifications Undergraduate or Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Higher education human resources experience. Proposed Salary The budgeted salary range is $20.60 per hour to $25.48 per hour ($53,000). Offers are based on years of relevant experience. Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills. Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite and HRIS systems). Operates effectively within the organizational structure with excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and follow up skills. Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette. Other Information This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position may travel 1%-24% of the time.
