Physician - Pediatric Cardiologist

BC/BE Pediatric Cardiologist

Ochsner Children's Health Center in Lafayette is seeking a second BC/BE Pediatric Cardiologist. Interest and advanced training in fetal echocardiography is highly desirable. Responsibilities will include outpatient clinic, inpatient consultations, and limited regional clinic activities. The Lafayette campus is an integral component of the Ochsner Children's Hospital cardiology network.

  • Limited regional clinic activities

Qualifications

  • Board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatrics or Pediatric Cardiology
  • Strong clinical experience in pediatric cardiology
  • Desirable: Advanced training in fetal echocardiography

Facilities & Growth

  • 67-bed Level IV NICU
  • 14-bed PICU and 12-bed CVICU
  • 4-bed NAEC-accredited Level IV Pediatric EMU
  • 44-bed Pediatric Acute Care Unit with dedicated Pediatric ED
  • 24/7 neonatal and pediatric transport team with ground, rotary, and fixed-wing aircraft support
  • Construction underway for a new 5-story Children's Hospital, opening in late 2027/early 2028, and planned expansion of neonatal services
