Job Description

This position is responsible for the proper assembly, labeling, and quality of packaged products. The Packaging Technician is required to follow all applicable standard operating procedures and supervisory instructions to ensure compliance with customer specifications. This role is ideal for individuals capable of performing most phases of packaging but who may still require occasional supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review batch paperwork and instructions to perform packaging procedures required for each job or order
• Clean packaging rooms and equipment as needed within a controlled production environment
• Perform manual and automated filling and packaging of products, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Inspect labeling and packaging quality throughout the process
• Ensure proper labeling and product placement using various sealing and packaging machinery
• Accurately count and prepare packaged items (e.g., bottles, kits, or component packs)
• Perform final checks of work-in-process and finished goods before packing into labeled containers and boxes
• Assist with staging, tracking, and reconciliation of materials and components

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to work in temperature-controlled environments as needed
• Clear and legible handwriting for labeling and documentation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred

Work Environment

This role operates in a controlled production environment. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE, including gowning, shoe covers, hairnets, and safety glasses.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.80/hr.
