Sales Consultant

Job Summary The basic function of the Sales Associate is to sell La‑Z‑Boy products and services. The role involves using and developing all selling and customer service skills trained to meet and exceed company goals. All Sales Associates must achieve store goals, maintain customer and team trust, and provide the highest level of customer service. Location Queen Creek, AZ Compensation Training Pay: $22.00 per hour for 2 weeks (no commission) After Training: Base pay $45,864; commission uncapped 6‑7.5% on individual written sales, based on meeting specific individual sales goals Benefits Health Insurance through Blue Cross/Blue Shield Optum for Prescriptions In‑Network Dental and Vision Insurance Paid Vacation 401(k) with match Disability Insurance Life Insurance and AD&D Paid Bonding Leave Paid Training Health Savings Account – tax‑free contributions, growth, and withdrawals Tuition Reimbursement (up to $5,250 per calendar year) Employee Assistance Program (Free to all employees) Counseling sessions Financial and legal resources Key Responsibilities Interact with customers professionally, providing the highest level of service Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals, selling furniture, accessories, and services Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues in a timely manner Attend and participate in company training and store meetings Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling process to achieve sales goals Accurately complete order information, collect deposits, keep orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries Follow company procedures and policies, including policies against harassment, attendance, sales policies, and customer interaction Scope & Impact Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes Maintain a sales average consistent with Company Standards Minimum Requirements High School diploma or GED Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence Vocational or technical training in field of study Ability to bend, lift, and stand for long periods of time Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes Preferred Requirements Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred Organizational and problem‑solving skills Understanding and ability to use computer technology Physical Demands / Work Environment Bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time Interaction with customers and co‑workers; focus and concentration required Other Duties This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the incumbent.
