Academic Cardiology Opportunity in Texas
Join a growing academic cardiology program designed for physicians seeking a broader scope of impact. You’ll collaborate within a collegial cardiology team supported by fellows who help share call coverage, with leadership opportunities available for those interested in academic or operational advancement. Significant institutional investment is already underway to expand cardiovascular services and infrastructure. The program supports a wide range of clinical interests, including imaging, interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, and fellowship-level teaching, creating a strong platform for both clinical depth and long-term academic growth.

- Supportive Academic Practice: Work in a cohesive teaching environment with fellows taking first call and shared second-call coverage among attendings
- Strong Clinical Variety: General cardiologists focus on consults, imaging reads, and CVICU service while interventional cardiologists split time between cath procedures, consults, imaging, and ICU responsibilities
- Fellowship Teaching & Leadership Exposure: Work directly with cardiology fellows alongside a nationally recognized cardiologist, with future opportunities such as CathLab Director
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Open to General, Interventional, Structural, or Heart Failure-focused cardiologists
- Comfortable practicing in a teaching hospital setting
- Physicians with leadership interest are encouraged to apply
